Dad's Army Notice

Calling all volunteers for odd jobs around the clubhouse and course.

CALLING ALL DAD’S ARMY AND VOLUNTEERS

Northern Golf Club is looking to reintroduce Dad’s Army to help with odd jobs around the course and clubhouse.  The help we have had on course projects recently and also the work carried out by Dad’s Armies of the past has been of great benefit to the club by improving the presentation of the clubhouse and course.

Already we have quite a list of small projects that need attention ranging from painting, raking, planting, mulching and other minor handyman jobs. It is hoped that a new Dad’s Army will be able to meet either fortnightly or monthly to undertake some of these jobs. A Monday or a Tuesday is the most likely day to meet due to there being no competition and being relatively quiet. All tasks will be co-ordinated by a ground staff member or by Bob Reynolds who will be overseeing the scheduling of works.

Periods of work will run for between 3-4 hours and will be followed by a free BBQ lunch and drink at the club. It is envisaged that Dad’s Army will commence after Christmas unless people are available prior to this date.

If you are able to help out at your club please register your interest and the likely frequency of attendance with Bob Reynolds (please find his phone number in the club syllabus) or at the administration office.

We look forward to your support.
